The Woburn Police department has been managing it’s details on paper for years. Their process is complicated at best, with a 4 and 2 schedule, second call lists and special cancellation requests, Woburn has been unable to successfully find a single piece of software to manage all of their details. They tried many out of the box solutions but always came back to running their details on paper.
Delphi partnered with the Woburn Police to understand the complexity of their details, and propose a complete solution. Over weeks of development, working closely with Woburn’s staff, Delphi integrated a complete details management solution into Woburn’s Digital HeadQuarters (click here for info on DHQ). The Woburn Police department can now manage their details in just a few clicks. The application automatically loads today’s list of available officers, running totals are automatically calculated per officer, and their complex requirements have been met. Upon assignment, officers receive email notifications to their home and work email addresses. The support staff at Woburn have received nothing but praise for the new system, making the entire details process much simpler and easier. Their DHQ will also print invoices to PDF for payments from vendors.
Digital HeadQuarters is based on Windows SharePoint Services 3.0. Delphi developed the application using custom application pages and workflows including custom forms.
